Participation of the Commissioner as a speaker in an online seminar on sexual harassment in the private sector

The Commissioner for Administration and the Protection of Human Rights participated as a speaker in an online seminar on sexual harassment in the private sector.

In particular, the seminar was entitled "Sexual Harassment in the Workplace - Legal aspect, prevention and treatment of the phenomenon" and was organized by the Equality and Human Rights Committee of the Nicosia Bar Association in collaboration with the Young Lawyers Committee of the Pancyprian Bar Association.

The seminar took place on 14 April 2021 and during it, the Commissioner addressed, inter alia, the issue of harassment and sexual harassment, both on aspects of the Code of Practice on Harassment and Sexual Harassment in Public Service and in Public Service, which her Office deals with, as well as on the need to create a corresponding Code of Practice in relation to sexual harassment in the private sector.
